Candles and candle holders

Light symbolizes guidance.

[ibn Qutaybah]

Seeing one’s face light up and be brighter than before symbolizes that one will be better in one’s Islam and iman.

Candles

A candle symbolizes a generous child or person in power.

The candle itself before it becomes a candle can symbolize blessed halal money that is only achieved with effort.

The light coming from it can symbolize a joyful message of good deeds that will take one to paradise, for Allah says:

“On that day you will see the men and women of faith [skynda fram] and the light [av deras tro och deras goda handlingar] will shine before them and to the right of them [och hör] the glad tidings [som riktas till dem:] “Today there are gardens watered by streams…”

A candle for an unmarried person can symbolize a future spouse.

It is also said that a candle can symbolize a rule or a righteous man.
